The Holy Qur'an has referenced his story in a wonderful section named "Surah Yusuf". Prophet Yusuf (AS) had 11 siblings. He was one of the most youthful and had brilliant person and habits. His dad adored him beyond a doubt.
Prophet Yusuf (AS) once envisioned that eleven stars and the sun and moon were prostrating to him. He related the fantasy to his dad. Prophet Ya'qub (AS) understood that the fantasy illustrated his child's predetermination and significance and forewarned him not to educate his siblings concerning the fantasy.
His siblings were desirous of the blessing that he delighted in their dad's eyes and intended to some way or another dispose of him. At whatever point they took their goats out for touching they would inquire as to whether Yusuf (AS) could go with them. Prophet Ya'qub (AS) consistently denied, saying that the kid was excessively youthful. At the point when Prophet Yusuf (AS) arrived at the age of 16, his siblings demanded that he was currently mature enough to go with them. With hesitance, their dad consented to allow them to take him with them.
When they were far enough from home, they started to plot regarding how to discard Prophet Yusuf (AS). Then, at that point, they ran over a dry well. They eliminated Prophet Yusuf's (AS) shirt, and tossed him into the well. Disregarding their young sibling's supplications, they wantonly passed on him to bite the dust of craving.
Coming back, they butchered a goat and smudged Prophet Yusuf's (AS) shirt with its blood. They got back sobbing and let their dad know that while they were touching their sheep, a wolf came and ate their sibling. He didn't trust their story and could just stay patient and trust that Allah will rejoin him with his dearest child.
In the mean time a procession of merchants passing by the all around halted to draw some water. They were astounded to see Prophet Yusuf (AS) come up holding the can. They concealed him with their product and offered him to some slave brokers for a couple of bits of silver.
